1 week into framing 5/1/08

We are one week into framing and we actually can walk into our home now and know what the space feels like! It was the most exciting part of the process this far. I basically got to give Geromi a tour of our home. Since I have eaten, breathed, and slept this house since last August I know it by heart. He is just being able to see it so it was so fun to take the tour through his eyes. He loves the living room wall of windows!

Of course since this is our build we had to hit another speed bump. During the pour we noticed that there were two pipes in our master hallway. Yep, you are correct there is no plumbing needed in the hall. So, by either a miscalculation of our plumber or a shift with pour, or combo, we already have a repair. I refuse to sweat this problem out. They will fix it and it will be fine. Now our concrete stain may not be as pretty in that hall but on the bright side it is just a hall.

On the way out to the house today Brenna asked "do you think they put my ballet bar in yet?" Our ballerina has planned her room already down to the mirrored wall and ballet bar. Oh well, you are only young once. So, if the princess wants a ballet bar then a ballet bar she will get. I think we can all agree that the reality of life doesn't really need to be shared in childhood.

Let the children DREAM!
